When thinking about content, it will be important for me to remember when information and design I’ll be inputting for the users to see and experience with. It will be important to think about how to organise and categorize the structure of the content.

The content will need to be focussed on the goals and objectives as well as the target audience. To organise the content, will ensure that the users will find what they’re looking for.

UX Writing

UX Writing the textual part which form a user experience. Mostly this can be found in a job advert from perhaps LinkedIn. The purpose of UX writing is to be clear and consistent at what the aim is. For example, a in a job ad, it’s important to include the roles and duties, location of job, and a salary range in order to attract the job seeker.

Other forms of UX writing can be when alerting an error message. It’s better to show clear and short message rather the long and unnecessary details. Where there is a need for some repetition be sure to be consistent.

Update

Having looked into content and UX writing, I will need to be careful of the choice of words I put into the prototype. As the image above shows, I want to be able send a clear and not overly explained message. The writing will be put in various parts in the prototype; therefore, I can look to the example of how I can send the message.

The downfall this is that when I am doing the UX writing, I may either overly write the wordings or not write enough. I think this is where I will need to be careful the most and the only way, I can improve this the best way is to write simple and clearly but to also have someone to read the written content and see 1. Makes sense and 2. It is not overly or shortly written. Having someone else to review can make significant improvements to the overall prototype.

Written words, choice of words and communication is what I feel is the most important skills for this part of the project. I want users to be able to read clearly and easily without having to spend too much time reading.

The ongoing creation of the prototype will soon include the UX Writing. I will add these where required and I will make sure that these are written in correct wording and format. I will have approx. 2 weeks to compete this.
