By the end of week 1, I had joined a team named Ideas-R-Us. The team was formed pretty quick and were eager to begin on the group assignment. During this week, we had to agree on an idea. The team put together a list of ideas to which only one would be agreed on. Each team member was able to pick a first, second and a third choice. The one with the most choice was picked to go ahead. In the end idea ‘Platform giving sustainable to the beauty / skin care brands.’

Idea behind this was to encourage users to move to a sustainable product. With this projected app, it will help users to find the alternative especially for those that which to use a sustainable product but are unsure of which one to get.

Rapid Ideation

Rapid Ideation is creating and / or planning something within a set time frame. This can be from a few weeks down to a few hours. This is a perfect opportunity for teams to come up a with a plan for their task or project. A quick ideation can be more efficient than several or long sessions.

After setting up our group and idea, the first of many meetings was a great opportunity to brainstorm how we would proceed forward with the project. Below outlines how the group, including myself, will plan the project.

Rapid Ideation Plan

Our team to make up with 4 UX designers and 1 indie game design.

Our primary project management tool was an application called ‘ClickUp’. This is something that I never used but could understand its purpose. My Personal opinion on this was that it is cumbersome, but it did help keep track of the remaining and upcoming task. It will so be our file storage.

For communication, the team agreed to continue to use Discord as a primary way of chat, with weekly meetings with our tutor being held on every Wednesday 6PM UK as a group meeting without our tutor every 2 weeks on the Monday.

The tools will we use will most likely be wireframes and prototype designs.

Our purpose is, as a team, to collectively work improving our UX design skills and enhance our portfolios.

Our goal is to create a final artefact which we can pitch to the publisher.

Our approach will be to run weekly meetings and to regularly communicate in order to keep up with the workload.
